POLICE Scotland have reissued an appeal for information regarding a missing 22-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen for two weeks.
Santra Saju was last seen in an Asda in Livingston, West Lothian on 6 December.
Police inquiries confirmed that Santra, from the South Gyle area of Edinburgh, was seen at the Asda in Almondvale between 9:10pm and 9:45pm.
She had also been spotted previously the same evening in the Burnvale area of Livingston but has not been seen since.
Santra is described as 5ft 6 inches, of Indian ethnicity, slim build, with short black hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur hood.
Police issued an appeal for information on her whereabouts previously but have since asked the public for help in locating Santra again.
Issuing a statement yesterday Police Scotland asked once again for the public’s assistance, continuing their investigation and reviewing CCTV footage in an attempt to spot her.
They have asked for the public’s help and hope that someone has spotted her carrying a unique bag that she picked up from an address in Burnvale.
Inspector Alison Lawrie from Corstorphine Police Station said: “We now know that Santra picked up a black and white shopper style bag from an address in Burnvale on Friday evening, but she did not have it when she entered the supermarket.
“The bag is distinctive, and someone may remember seeing her carrying it.
“We are continuing to review CCTV footage and have released images of Santra from the supermarket in the hope that someone recognises her.
“Extensive enquiries are being carried out in an effort to trace her. If you have any information please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3390 of Sunday, 15 December 2024.”
