Edinburgh supply company get into Christmas spirit with school teddy donation

ST ANDREWS Timber & Building Supplies has donated a giant teddy bear to the Prestonfield Primary School Christmas fair.

The school are currently raising money to buy classroom resources, make improvements to the playground and help to subsidise school trips to help improve the school experience.

St Andrews Timber & Building Supplies headquarters is located close to the school and in the festive spirit they wanted to give back to the community and help with the fundraiser by donating a giant bear.

The fair is being held on Saturday 14 December from 1pm-3pm and if someone guesses the bear’s name they will be lucky enough to take their new cuddly friend home with them.

Ryan Cockburn, transport manager at St Andrews’ city base, who is also a former pupil of Prestonfield Primary School said: “Being the primary school local to our main branch, we were delighted to play a part with our donation.

“I know how important the school is to the community and funds are vital to its ability to support its pupils in the best ways possible.

“Hopefully the fair raises lots of money which will make a big difference to the school for next year’s projects.”

Continuing on with their Christmas charity work the firm are also donating to the Cruden annual foodbank drive in support of Trussell UK and its network of local foodbanks.
