SHOCKING footage shows a brazen thief stealing bags full of goods from a Greggs as horrified bystanders and staff members watch on helplessly.
Video of the thief’s daylight heist was captured by an onlooker in the bakery chain’s store in South Norwood, London yesterday.
The thief effectively emptied the shelves of the store grabbing juice, food and crisps all while being watched by staff members.
The video shows the thief with a duffel bag, already filled with stolen goods, and a plastic bag which he is in the process of nonchalantly filling.
Dressed in all black with his hood up, the thief ransacks the shelves, filling his bag as the customer filming narrates.
The man recording says: “Come into Greggs, nice and calm, look at this bludclart (sic) walk in Greggs, fill up the whole duffel bag you know, and now this bag, look at this.”
Undeterred by the witnesses the thief fills a green plastic Waitrose bag, continuing to steal from the shelves despite being watched.
The man recording comments: “Look, load up this p***yclart (sic) self, and look at the staff, can’t do nothing (sic).”
The thief finishes filling his bag and makes for the door passing close by the camera and holding up his fingers in a gun gesture as he does.
The man filming is left shocked by the brazen display, exclaiming: “Are you for f***ing real? What the bludclart (sic).”
He films the thief as he walks calmly away from the scene of the crime, shouting after him but getting no response.
The man recording continues in disbelief shouting and talking to other customers as he films the shelves.
Video shows them ransacked of almost all the goods with sandwiches, juice, and crisps stolen by the thief.
The cameraman says: “The man cleaned out the whole bludclart (sic), he cleaned the whole of the shelves.
“All I wanted was my cheese sandwich.”
It was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “A man steals from Greggs in London.”
The clip has since received over 400 likes and more than 100 comments from shocked social media users.
One user wrote: “Shameless – I think the bigger problem here is again, the police. People commit crimes because they think they can just get away with it.”
Another commented: “That just made me hungry for a steak bake.”
A third said: “I feel sorry for the people that actually work in these shops to be honest.
Not wanting to challenge them.”
Another joked: “Waitrose bag too. You clearly get a better class of shoplifter in Greggs.”
A fifth commented: “This is the reason why so many stores are closing down now.”
