Scot’s patriotic tattoos – including bottle of Buckfast and can or Irn-Bru – spark mixed opinions from fellow countrymen

A SCOT showing off his patriotic tattoos – which include a bottle of Buckfast and a can of Irn-Bru – has sparked some hilarious mixed opinions from fellow countrymen.

The unnamed bloke shared a snap of his newest addition of a stag on the back of his neck on Saturday.

After gaining some initial reaction to his ink, he opted to showcase a can of Irn-Bru on one leg, and a bottle of Buckfast on the other.

While many Scots were somewhat impressed with the tattoos, others were quick to poke fun at him or question his choice of designs, joking he would end up looking like a “food and drink of Scotland dish towel”.

Amongst the images of his inkwork, the stag is inked entirely in black and appears to sit atop a rock between two trees.

On his left leg is inked a can of Irn-Bru – in the style of the old cans which were discontinued in 2015 – in the recognisable orange and blue colours.

The Irn-Bru is less detailed than the bottle of Bucky however, which has been painstakingly recreated from his ankle halfway up the back of his leg.

A custom message on the yellow label reads: “Nae Bucky nae party.”

Sharing the picture of his stag tattoo on Saturday, he asked social media users for their thoughts.

Barely 15 minutes later, after a few amusing responses, he added his inked national drinks with the caption: “Since I just posted my newest tattoo, I thought I’d show yeez (sic) ma legs anaw (sic).

“A can deffos (sic) see me catching some stick in the comments for these but here, I hink (sic) these tattoos are quality.”

The posts have since amassed over 450 likes and more than 160 comments from Scots sharing their very mixed reactions.

One wrote: “Nice tattoo mate but surely for a biscuit tin and not the back of your neck?”

A second agreed: “You got a Christmas card on the back of your neck.

“Quality tattoo. Placement is insane.”

Another asked: “Why is the stag on a surfboard?”

A fourth commented: “In time to come, this will be filed under ‘things I grew to regret’.”

Another quipped: “Some real life ned energy.”

A sixth added: “Needs square sausage in a roll and a Highland Toffee bar.”

Another replied: “[He would] End up looking like a ‘Food and Drink of Scotland’ dish towel.”
