Shoppers left terrified as thugs engage in “firework wars”, firing rockets at each other in supermarket car park

THIS is the moment shoppers were left terrified by thugs engaging in “firework wars”, firing rockets at each other in a supermarket car park.

Video footage from a bystander captures the danger unfolding at a Tesco store on High Street in Enfield, North London last night.

Explosions can be heard as fireworks shoot across the car park, with the “feral” culprits setting them off before beating a hasty retreat.

The incident comes barely a week after youngsters messing around with fireworks resulted in a large fire breaking out at a school, resulting in building damage and 26 members of staff being evacuated.

The footage shows black-clad figures running along the edge of the car park and shouting, with fireworks going off in their wake.

The woman filming can be heard saying “oh f**k” as colourful sparks shower the area.

The figures can be seen running back the way they came, letting off fireworks in front of them.

Another explosion can be heard, with a flash very close to a bus going past on the main road.

The clip was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Firework wars in Enfield tonight.”

It has since received over 1,700 likes and more than 200 comments from hacked-off Brits sharing their reactions.

One wrote: “Every year we see prime examples of just why these should be banned for general sale. This being one of them.”

A second commented: “Christ, you can’t even do your weekly shop in peace now.”

Another said: “Imagine if one strays off to the petrol station that looks to be nearby.”

A fourth wrote: “Pretty dangerous, selfish and reckless behaviour. Firework injuries can be comprehensively catastrophic. I hope nobody was hurt here.

“This sort of behaviour winds me up. No respect or thought given to innocent bystanders.”

Another added: “That’s Tesco’s car park in Ponders End. These c***s have set a school alight up the road and have woken my neighbourhood up several times a night this week.

“Feral w*****s. Police do absolutely nothing. No patrols to keep us safe from these animals.”
