Edinburgh Boiler Company celebrates hat-trick of national nominations

THE Edinburgh Boiler Company (EBC) is aiming for a triple victory after being nominated in three categories at the H&V News Awards 2024.

The heating and renewables specialist has been recognised for its growth and innovation over the past year.

EBC is shortlisted for Contractor of the Year following a significant increase in turnover and customer base.

This growth has been driven by the company’s expansion from traditional boiler installations into low-carbon and renewable technologies.

The company is also in contention for the Small Company Achievement Award, largely due to partnerships with Home Energy Scotland and Warmworks, which have allowed customers to offset installation costs.

These collaborations have bolstered EBC’s standing in the renewables sector.

Additionally, EBC is nominated for Low Carbon Impact: Residential or Public Sector, reflecting its shift to low-carbon solutions such as air source heat pumps, solar photovoltaics, and electric vehicle charging.

This transition has led to a reduction of 230 tonnes of carbon emissions—equivalent to the emissions from a car driving one million miles.

Dougie Bell, Managing Director of EBC, remarked: “This recognition highlights our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.

“It has been a privilege to reflect on our achievements, and none of this would have been possible without our dedicated team and loyal clients.”

The winners will be announced in London in November. For more details, visit the Edinburgh Boiler Company’s website.
