Man vs Food star Adam Richman and film crew robbed at London petrol station

MAN vs Food star Adam Richman and his film crew were robbed at a London petrol station after leaving their production van unattended for less than five minutes.

Richman and his posse were shooting new show Adam Richman Eats Britain yesterday when they pulled over at a rest stop in Barnet on the outskirts of the capital city.

The 50-year-old claims that in the brief few minutes that he and the crew were absent, criminals struck and “cleaned out” the entire van.

Amazon Prime star Richman says he and his crew had medication, personal possessions of sentimental value, cameras and laptops stolen from their van

The Brooklyn-born food lover has since tracked his stolen goods to various locations and is in the process of trying to recover them with the police’s help.

Richman originally shared the locations of some of the goods and offered a reward for their recovery, prompting British fans to take to the streets in a treasure hunt.

However, Met Police reportedly asked the former competitive eater to stop sharing information on the stolen goods, and he has since warned his fans not to interfere, instead dealing with the theft through proper channels.

Posting snaps of his stolen items on social media yesterday, Richman said: “Well – the entire crew of season two of Adam Richman Eats Britain has just been robbed.

“We were driving from Birmingham to London, stopped at a rest stop in Barnet for exactly 4.5 minutes to use the restroom, and came back to our van completely cleaned out.

“All of the filming equipment is gone. Both of my suitcases with all of my possessions are gone.

“Backpack with my laptop and all of my medications are gone.

“And to make matters worse, because I have trackers on some of my possessions, and because of my laptop, I can see where these things are.

“But we have to wait here for the police. The rest stop won’t release the security footage until the police arrive.

“It’s been almost an hour.  I’m going to share a few of the locations where I can see my possessions.

“Reward for anything found.”

The post has since received over 10,000 likes and more than 740 comments from stunned fans.

One wrote: “Is it just me or is the UK just descending into utter chaos?  Every day it’s something and the police do nothing.”

Another said: “Vans with equipment are frequently targeted in London. Sadiq Khan and the Met can give you the stats.”

A third replied: “Welcome to the culture of London.”

Another commented: “Oh my god this is awful. I’m so sorry that happened to you.”

A fifth added: “Hope you get your stuff back.”
