Tesco employee hits out at “b***end” customers after being repeatedly pushed out of the way by swarm of frenzied bargain-hunters in reduced aisle

A TESCO employee has hit out at “b***end” customers after he was repeatedly pushed out of the way while in the middle of reducing prices.

The unnamed bloke was on a shift at the supermarket in Holyhead, Anglesey yesterday when he was pounced on by impatient customers.

In a video shared to social media, he shows the scenes in one of the aisles as he tries in vain to add yellow stickers to stock uninterrupted.

He shames specific customers for their antics, saying he believes the current cost of living is no excuse for such ridiculous behaviour.

His rant has received a slew of responses, including several from other supermarket employees sympathising with his frustration.

Customers can be seen swarming around him as he stands at a small table with wheels stacked with items and a label printer running off the yellow stickers.

Others cluster around the shelves of stock he has just reduced in price.

He says: “Unless you’re Erik ten Hag in that [Manchester] United dressing room or me at this f***ing reduction bay, no-one knows what it’s like to be surrounded by a bunch of b***ends.

“Grey trackies over there. Wow, what an annoying woman. Just pushed me.”

Filming a woman dressed in grey tracksuit bottoms and white shirt frantically digging through the reduced items, the employee then pans around to a basket abandoned on the floor, full of stickered food.

He says: “That’s her basket that she ditched just so she could f***ing ambush [the] reduction bay.

The clip cuts to a customer in a black jacket, staring at the shelves.

The bloke rants: “This guy now, him. Literally pushed me in the stomach. B***end.

He returns later to see what state they have left the aisle in but admits he is surprised to see the shelves haven’t been raided, just left untidy.

He says to the camera: “Honestly though, I don’t care what state the world is in financially, because we’re all struggling.

“[It] Doesn’t give you an excuse to be a b***end and be like a fly on s**t whenever I put a yellow sticker on something, because that was f***ing bonkers.”

The footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Unbelievable.”

It has since received over 7,800 likes and more than 330 comments from hacked-off Brits left unimpressed by the behaviour of customers.

One said: “Yellow foldable barriers. Whenever I would do the reduced stickers, I’d put them up as [a] fence around me until stock was back on the reduced section.

“Was sick of my personal space being invaded.”

A second agreed: “It’s carnage at my local big Tesco, the woman puts a little fence round while she’s doing it otherwise it would get violent.”

Another quipped: “When I used to work at Tesco doing this exact job, I used to call it ‘The Vultures’ Descent’.”

A fourth commented: “I’ve seen people actually bartering over a yellow stickered cooked chicken.”

Another wrote: “I’ve seen people follow the clearance trolley like cattle following their feeder, it’s a massive ick. People need to calm down.

“And let workers do their job. It’s embarrassing.”

Another added: “I’m always so afraid to upset the person doing the reductions I come back after they’re gone, then miss out on half the stuff.”
