Aurora Energy Services launches Integrated Services, plans to hire 30 specialists

AURORA Energy Services has unveiled a new Integrated Services division aimed at providing comprehensive project delivery to the oil, gas, and renewables sectors.

The company plans to recruit 30 specialists within the next six months, with a focus on delivering a cost-effective full lifecycle service.

The new division will be headed by brothers Josh and Kane Winton, who bring extensive project management experience from Petrofac and Global Design Innovation.

It will offer engineering design, procurement, installation, construction, and decommissioning services.

Specialising in digital asset surveys, the team will provide tailored solutions to meet the evolving needs of the North Sea’s mature oil and gas basin.

Doug Duguid, Aurora’s CEO, highlighted the demand for more agile and affordable services.

He said: “We will be providing leaner, more nimble, and cost-effective integrated services for facility modifications and for end-of-life O&G assets.

Working in a mature basin like the North Sea, we recognise the need for flexible, safe engineering solutions that can adapt to older assets without the large-scale overheads.”

The expansion will build on Aurora’s existing work through its repair and modification division.

The company plans to leverage its Inverness training academy and in-house design facility at Huntly to deliver these services.

Josh Winton commented on the division’s potential: “The market is crying out for more agile providers who can integrate services under one roof and be more competitive for clients.”

Kane Winton added: “Operators are facing a series of challenges, with a number of them requiring support for late-life assets as they move to eventual decommissioning.

“There is a market appetite for smarter, more lean service providers who have fewer overheads but remain focussed on high-end project delivery.

Aurora’s new office in Dyce, Aberdeen, has the capacity to expand the team to 80 personnel by the end of 2025.

The company looks to strengthen its focus on renewables alongside its oil and gas operations in the future.
