Brazen thief makes off with pharmacy till after smashing through door in late night raid

WATCH as a brazen thief makes off with a pharmacy’s till, after smashing through the door with a large metal pole.

CCTV footage captured the shocking scene at Chana Health on High Street in Southall, West London, in the early hours of yesterday morning.

After breaking down the door, the thief makes quick work of removing the till from the cafe area at the front of the shop.

The bold robber then casually makes their way outside carrying the heavy till in their arms and disappearing into the night.

The video shows the thief, dressed in a grey hoodie and black trousers, standing outside the pharmacy and holding a metal pole which they aim at the door.

They forcefully chuck the large pole at the glass; it breaks right through and lands on the floor before the entire door shatters into pieces.

Tiptoeing over the shards of glass, they move behind the cafe counter and start hauling at the till unit underneath.

They ignore any of the cafe equipment with a shutter preventing them from accessing the main pharmacy.

People can be seen walking past outside, seemingly oblivious to the brazen robbery in progress.

After two sharp tugs on the till it comes loose, knocking other items to the floor as the thief wrenches it from its fixtures.

The brazen robber then saunters back on to the street holding the till, still trailing cables, and out of sight past more oblivious bystanders.

The footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Thief shatters the glass door of a pharmacy in Southall with a bollard to steal a till.”

It has since received a slew of likes and comments from social media users sharing their reactions.

One said: “If there was money in the till, then more fool the owners. Good businesses would cash up and remove the money to a safe, to their home or better still, a bank.”

A second wrote: “Five years ago it would’ve been worth it but now they have very little in them.”

Another commented: “Idiots.”

A fourth joked: “Surprise, it’s empty.”
