A BRIT gymgoer had his session interrupted in a bizarre fashion as a musician took to the floor of a PureGym for an impromptu gig.
The vocalist and guitarist allegedly turned up at an unidentified branch of the gym chain on Monday.
His appearance was sneakily caught in a snap from the bemused gymgoer, who watched on as the musician crooned over the dozens of people in the middle of their workouts.
The image is now doing the rounds on social media, where Brits have been quick with fitness-related puns about the singer’s possible name.
The image, captured secretly by the gymgoer, is taken from behind a rack of weights, and shows the musician mid-set.
Dressed in a blue shirt or jacket of some kind and a pair of white trousers, the unidentified bloke is seen standing in the corner of the gym.
A guitar in hand and a mic stand in front of him, the musician’s mouth is wide open as he belts out the lyrics to a song.
Another PureGym customer can be seen in the corner of the image, apparently on a step machine, and clearly ignoring the musician, with his headphones in focusing on his workout.
How and why the musician played a live gig in the gym is unknown, but Brits found the concept hilarious, nonetheless.
The image was shared to social media on Monday with the caption: “One of my mates is in PureGym and there’s a fella playing a gig.”
It has since been reshared and spread hundreds of times across social media with the original post receiving well over 50,000 likes and more than 315 pun-filled comments from social media users.
One user joked: “Florence and the cardio machine.”
Another quipped: “Gymmi Hendrix.”
A third said: “Real hustler, gotta respect it.”
Another added: “I hope he is playing an 80s action movie training revenge soundtrack.”
A fifth commented: “Rage Against the Rowing Machine.”
