A SCOTS social enterprise with a renewables focus looks to strengthen its board with the appointment a new non-executive marketing director.
The Dalkeith-based Energy Training Academy has appointed Lee Fitzpatrick whilst also recruiting Anton Winters as head of content.
The training academy runs courses on site in Midlothian helping gas engineers gain ACS accreditation as well as teaching courses on Solar and heat pump installation.
Securing Fitzpatrick’s services will be a “game-changer”, according to co-founder Mark Glasgow.
As managing director of regenerative marketing firm Zebra Growth, Fitzpatrick has helped support over 400 impact start-ups and scale-ups around the world.
The social enterprises new appointment also serves on the board of trustees of Firstport, Scotland’s development agency for social entrepreneurs and social enterprise.
Fitzpatrick says he is relishing the prospect of attempting to a do similar job with the Energy Training Academy which was launched 18 months ago.
The ethical marketing specialist indicated will try use his experience to help the training centre through the next phase of expansion.
He will be working with promoted marketing and operations manager Carolynn Edgeworth and her team.
