WATCH as a Labour MP is branded a “traitor” and heckled in a pub in her own constituency by disgruntled locals.
A video shared yesterday shows Alex Baker, who represents Aldershot in Rushmoor, Hampshire, being verbally abused in her remarkably short visit to the boozer.
Pubgoers were reportedly against her stance in supporting the use of hotels to house migrants and lying about locals who had been imprisoned for their political activity, and made their feelings on the matter clear in the short exchange.
The video shows Baker approaching the bar, with boos echoing around the pub almost immediately.
A voice can be heard saying “get out” as a finger points back the way she came whilst other shouts of “not welcome” and “traitor” ring out.
She tentatively wanders up to a group of people, where she is just as poorly received.
The clip then cuts to show a few people leaving, Baker presumably amongst them as cheering can be heard.
Another heckler loudly shouts: “Rushmoor people first.”
A faint voice in the background adds: “And pensioners.”
The footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Rushmoor’s Labour MP, Alex Baker, was booed in a local pub for supporting illegal migrant hotels in the area and for lying about locals who’ve been made political prisoners by Two-Tier Keir.”
It has since received over 9,500 likes and more than 240 comments from Brits keen to share their strong opinions.
One wrote: “To be fair, booing MPs in pubs and everyday life (peacefully and observing the law of course!) is all working-class people can do between now and 2029.
“No point writing to your Labour MP as in Parliament they vote as Keir Starmer tells them as they’re scared to lose the whip.”
A second commented: “This is going to get worse, Labour are as popular as herpes already.”
Another agreed: “I think many other Labour MPs are going to find their constituents are not happy. Sad they did not vote with their conscience.”
A fourth said: “People will [only] take so much.”
