Furious confrontation breaks out on Scots train after commuter is threatened with a knife for allegedly not saying hello to fellow passenger

A CONFRONTATION broke out on a Scots train after a commuter was threatened with a knife for allegedly not saying hello to another passenger.

The heated argument kicked off on Tuesday on a train bound for Glasgow Central Station, when one man supposedly declined to say hello to another.

The commuter who was threatened caught the whole thing on camera, with both parties screaming at each other on the carriage as the seemingly offended bloke threatened to stab the filming man in the neck.

The video, recorded by the commuter, shows him and the other passenger talking quietly at first with one another.

The altercation started when the commuter refused to say hello to the aggressor.
The altercation started when the commuter refused to say hello to the aggressor.

The knife-wielding man is heard saying in a hushed tone: “Here mate, you want to have a crack at me, is that what you want to do?

“How about this blade I’ve got, you want me to stick it in your neck?”

The man recording then raises his voice as he says: “Threatening me with a blade now? Right under a camera you f***ing r***rd?”

The argument only escalates further from here with the man recording standing and filming the other man’s face.

The pair roar at one another in the train, arguing back and forth with the man recording furiously shouting: “Seriously you want to f***ing start? F***ing try it mate. Go on, f***ing try it you wee d**k.”

The initial aggressor then backs off slightly as he says: “I’m a wee d**k now? Go on then, you start it.”

The filming commuter doesn’t back down though as he says: “Mate, you’ve f***ing wound me up now, let’s f***ing go.”

The knifeman replies: “You think I’m scared of you, you f***ing clown? You think I’m scared of you? You mugged me off first mate, I said ‘hello’.”

The passenger repeatedly challenges the bloke though, asking him to “do something” before adding: “You pull a blade mate…don’t even think about pulling a blade.”

The other man then threatens: “What are you going to do about it? What if I do? I’m from the Gorbals, what are you going to do? Sit down then. Sit down before you fall down.”

The filming man then attempts to point out the ridiculousness of the aggressor’s reaction, saying: “Mate, you go and sit down. There’s f***ing no need for this.”

The offended Scotsman sticks to his guns though, replying: “I said hello, you mugged me off. You started it.

“I said hello and you went like that – ‘Mate, get to f**k’, as if I’m a dafty. Am I a dafty now?”

The other bloke then suggests: “You are a dafty if you need to pull a blade, so get your f***ing hand out of your pocket.

“There’s f***ing no need for this at all man, go and sit down.”

The pissed-off knife wielder seems to be unable to drop the other man’s supposed disrespect though, saying: “Don’t tell me what to do you f***ing mug.

“I said hello to you, you f***ing mugged me off man. Why? All I said was hello, you said ‘Get yourself to f**k’.”

The footage of the aggressive confrontation was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Threatened to stab me on the train for not saying hello.”

It has since received over 485 likes and more than 100 comments from shocked social media users.

One user said: “Should’ve kicked his knee with all the force you could muster.”

Another wrote: “Friendliest men in Glasgow.”

A third replied: “Think I understood maybe 10%.”

Another added: “The cameraman never dies so don’t worry.”

A fifth commented: “That left knee is looking very susceptible to a swift straight kick. Just saying.”
