Airbnb host asks gen Z daughter to write script for marketing video – and the end result is hilarious

THE hosts of an swanky Airbnb in Oxfordshire have gone viral after asking their daughter to write a gen Z script for their marketing video – with a hilarious end result.

Fyfield Manor in Benson, Oxfordshire is a historic manor house in the English countryside currently used as a holiday let by its owners.

In order to drum up some business though, its crafty owners opted to enlist the help of their young daughter and her new age idioms to give their 880-year-old home a bizarre modern description.

The footage gives a tour of the Airbnb narrated by the elderly owner as she reads her daughter’s hilarious script.

Starting off strong, the video introduces Fyfield Manor with the line: “Our BnB is 880 years old, no cap.”

The marketing material then moves on to some of the manor’s key features such as: “See the garden? It’s giving relaxation. It’s giving zen.”

The hilarious script continues as the far-from gen-Z owner, clueless as to what she’s saying, reads on.

Moving on to the inside of the property the owner shows viewers the medieval dining room which, according to the script, “has so much rizz.”

The sprawling house also offers a Georgian panelled room which is described with gen Z idioms as having “understood the assignment.”

The footage also features the owner standing in several bathrooms throughout the property and saying simply: “Slay.”

The hilarious footage went viral after it was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “I can confirm she understood nothing she said.”

It has since received over 1.2 million likes and more than 7,220 comments from social media users left howling.

One user said: “Hearing gen X slang with a British accent, very demure, very elegant. makes me want to stay here.”

Another added: “Missed opportunity to say the dining room ate and left no crumbs.”

A third wrote: “The fact that all the bathrooms are just ‘Slay’ is killing me for some reason.”

Another commented: “Very demure, I have Airbnb vouchers please can we stay with you?”

A fifth replied: “If I book, will she actually be there because she’s adorable.”
