“That chorus needs sung by the green brigade”: Celtic fans buzzing with hilarious AI-generated song in honour of Hoops’ star striker Kyogo Furuhashi

CELTIC fans have been left buzzing with a hilarious AI-generated song in honour of the Hoops’ star striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

The song, which appears to have been created by generative AI tool Suno thanks to inputs from one creative fan, comes after Celtic’s convincing 3-0 win over Rangers in Sunday’s Old Firm.

The full-length song pays tribute to the Celts’ Japanese forward – who was on the scoresheet at the weekend – and has been touted by fans as a must-add chant for the crowds at Parkhead.

The opening lyrics of the song, set to a jaunty flute backing track reminiscent of a traditional Irish folk tune, read: “Oh have you heard the tale, it’s spread near and far, of a lad named Furuhashi, he’s a footballing star.

Celtic supporters loved the AI generated tune.

“From Japan he came, with a head full of dreams, to the field at Celtic Park, he burst the net at its seams.”

Complete with three fleshed-out verses, the chorus in particular appears to have caught the ears of delighted fans.

It sounds: “Kyogo Furuhashi with a heart brave and true, in the green and white of Celtic, that boy sure knows just what to do.

“He came to play for Celtic from the Land of the Rising Sun, to strike fear into the hearts of every single dirty h**.”

The song then moves on to its second and third verse, comparing the 29-year-old marksman to a “Samurai warrior” who came from the “bustling streets of Kobe” in his homeland, and ended up at Celtic’s “storied ground”.

With the chorus repeating between each verse, the song even comes with a designated bridge that seems designed to be chanted: “Kyogo, hail hail.”

The imaginative tune has quickly found popularity within the Celtic fanbase after being shared to social media on Monday with the caption: “New song about Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi. Superb.”

It has since received over 3,320 likes and more than 125 comments from wowed fans who called for the song to be incorporated into the Green Brigade’s chants at Celtic Park.
