FIVE staff members from across the UK have celebrated a milestone anniversary after clocking up a collective 60 years at an architectural firm.
Aitken Turnbull, which can trace its roots back to 1887, has five staff members celebrating across its four studios in Edinburgh, Galashiels, Dumfries & Manchester.
Alistair Whitson is celebrating 35 years with Aitken Turnbull, after joining the practice in 1988.
During his time as an associate and IT lead for the company, Alistair has aimed to help navigate the practice in both technical and digital perspectives.
Rachel Armistead, who joined the practice straight from university, now has 10 years of service under her belt, having progressed to the role of senior architect last year.
Over her decade with the firm, Rachel has been involved in several projects, including Roxburgh Street Health Centre, ESMAC and the cancer unit at Lorn & Islands Hospital Oban.
Three more staff members – James Grant, associate director, Sebastian Mercer, senior architect and Inese Krauze, architectural assistant – have all reached their five-year milestone.
In celebrating these team members, Aitken Turnbull has said it hopes to foster a collaborative environment where knowledge and expertise are shared freely.
Alasdair Rankin, managing director of Aitken Turnbull, said: “Our team continues to strengthen and our practice grows across our four studios, our vision remains client-focused and committed.
“We strive to continuously evolve, staying up to date with the latest advancements and bringing design-led, knowledge-driven expertise to each project and having long-standing members of the team unquestionably helps us achieve this.
“As we celebrate these significant milestones, I want to congratulate Alistair, Rachel, James, Sebastian and Inese.
“They can reflect on their journey with the firm, filled with pride. Our success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented team, as well as the trust and confidence bestowed upon us by our clients and stakeholders.”
