THIS is the shocking moment a massive brawl erupted on a train in Wales between youngsters, passengers and staff.
The fight erupted on a Transport for Wales train between Treherbert and Cardiff Central last Tuesday.
The brawl on the evening train is alleged to have begun when a group of youths were asked to turn down their music.
No injuries were reported, although the fight saw several youngsters, a staff member and other commuters scrapping throughout the carriage.
Video footage of the shocking incident shows youths in a shoving match with an older gentleman dressed in black who appears to be trying to calm the situation.
He shouts as he tries to hold them off while backing away but ends up cornered by the doors of the train carriage while the rowdy mob surround him.
The older man, a member of staff, appears to be guarding another youth who is being targeted by the group.
The youths jump in his face and can be heard shouting threateningly at the man who stands his ground between the gang of yobs and the unidentified male he shields.
The older man tries to calm the situation, shouting back at the group as he stands back to the wall.
He argues with the teens inaudibly while they continue to intimidate him and their victim, with one punching the glass next to the man.
The member of staffs attempts to protect the lone youth end in vain however when the mob stop negotiating with him and rush the cornered victim.
The older gentleman, to his credit, tries to stop the onslaught of blows from the gang but he and his ward end up swarmed on all sides.
The brawl intensifies and chaos erupts with a flurry of blows being thrown at the lone youth cowering behind the member of staff.
The argument intensifies and items and punches alike are thrown at the pair amid a volley of verbal abuse.
The chaos causes the victim of the mob to lose his protection from the member of staff and he is quickly subjected to a brutal beating from the group of youths.
