Dortmund Look Serious in this Summer Transfer Window

After finishing second in the Champions League and losing to Real Madrid in the final, Borussia Dortmund is adamant that they will rectify their mistakes and have a fresh start under the new management.

Those with Borussia Dortmund tickets agree that the side had an exceptional Champions League run. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of their domestic performance.

The side was on the brink of not qualifying for this season’s Champions League, but with the new system, where the better-performing nations got an extra place in the Champions League, Dortmund got through.

Much of the planning for Borussia Dortmund also involves their signing. The fans with Borussia Dortmund tickets agree that they still need decent transfer windows.

However, the inclusion of Jaden Sancho was a good move after the English winger was found in bad blood with the manager. But, he’s back with the Red Devils and Dortmund still need more talent in their squad.

There’s work to be done, but the fans think the fresh signings are a step in the right direction.

Eddie Nketiah to Dortmund?

Arsenal sporting director Edu has been predicted to pull off a big swerve and arrange a transfer for Eddie Nketiah to Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The Gunners’ center-forward is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer after dropping the pecking order with Mikel Arteta. Nketiah made a 20-minute cameo appearance in the pre-season victory over Bayer Leverkusen, and after the match, the Arsenal boss admitted that the striker was pushing for more game time.

Dortmund is predicted to be searching for a talented player. The Bundesliga club is keen to bring in a replacement for Niclas Fullkrug sooner rather than later after he switched to West Ham United.

While Nketiah has a different profile from the German striker, they will likely battle Marseille for the Arsenal striker.

Niklas Süle Given a Second Chance

According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund have removed Niklas Süle from their transfer list.

Towards the end of last season, the former Bayern Munich center-back struggled for game time under Edin Terzi?, as Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck formed a trustworthy partnership at the back for BvB.

In addition, Süle’s fitness became a significant issue at the club, forcing the Dortmund board to threaten the defender with a possible exit. However, it appears that this has inspired Süle to take action.

The 28-year-old has lost ten kilogrammes over the summer, and the Westfalenstadion’s officials have been impressed by his transformation.

On top of this, Süle is mentally prepared for the upcoming campaign and hopes to earn a starting spot in Nuri ?ahin’s side. However, the 49-time German international must compete with Dortmund’s newest recruit, Waldemar Anton.

Regardless, BvB is willing to give Süle another chance to impress and has ensured that any potential sale is currently off the table. Süle will also know that he will have the complete support of the fans with Borussia Dortmund tickets since they also understand that he deserves a second chance.

Pascal Gro? to Dortmund Complete

Borussia Dortmund has signed Pascal Gro? from Brighton & Hove Albion on a two-year contract.

Pascal Gro? is back in German football after a seven-year stint with Brighton & Hove Albion, joining Borussia Dortmund on a two-year deal. The Germany international will hope to bolster the BVB midfield and bring more stability to the team in the middle of the park.

The Black and Yellows identified Gro? as a transfer target after his excellent performances for Brighton last season. He was also linked with a move to Eintracht Frankfurt but decided to join BVB in the end.

The 33-year-old registered five goals and 13 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions last season, showcasing his ability to dictate tempo, control proceedings, and play shrewd passes. Borussia Dortmund will hope that Gro? can make a similar impact at the Westfalenstadion and will rely on his all-around ability and versatility in the coming campaign.

Pascal Gro? will look to cap off his late-career resurgence by helping Borussia Dortmund compete for the Bundesliga title next season.

He said he has been a BVB fan since he was a kid and is determined to make an impact at the club. “This transfer is simply a huge opportunity because I’ve been a Dortmund fan since I was a little boy. I will try to repay the club’s trust with my performances and can’t wait to play at Signal Iduna Park with my new teammates in front of the BVB fans.”

Nuri Sahin’s side desperately needed some experience in the squad following Marco Reus’s and Mats Hummels’ summer exits. The fans with Borussia Dortmund tickets were worried, but it feels like this transfer window has filled this void.

And in Gro?, they have signed a player who, at 33, is playing some of the best football of his career.

Dortmund are now primed to add another City star to their ranks, though this time it’s an established star who’s already made a big impression in senior football.

Yan Couto to Dortmund?

Multiple sources, including Fabrizio Romano, Sky Germany, and the BBC, have confirmed Dortmund will sign City right-back Yan Couto.

The four-cap Brazil international joined Man City in 2020, though he spent the bulk of his time on City’s books out on loan, primarily at sister club Girona.

The 22-year-old excelled in Spain with Girona and scored ten impressive assists in La Liga last season.

His marauding displays up and down the right flank helped Girona to a spectacular third-placed finish and qualification to the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Man City and Dortmund have agreed a deal that will see Couto move to Germany on a season-long loan that contains an obligation to buy. The obligation is understood to be worth €30m/£25.3m.

Once the obligation is taken up, Couto will sign a five-year deal, meaning he’ll be contracted to Dortmund until 2030. For Couto, who is looking to make a name for himself, this will be a good opportunity to be stationed at one team and develop through the ranks. While it will be tough for the youngster to break into the first team immediately, the manager would be looking to give him some game time and eventually build a progression plan.

Couto is now scheduled to fly from Brazil back to Europe on Thursday ahead of undergoing a medical.
