Scots youngsters on their summer holidays spotted hijacking cherry picker lift at Fife high school

A GROUP of Scots youngsters seemingly bored on their summer holidays were spotted hijacking a cherry picker lift at a Fife high school.

The schoolkids were spotted mucking about with the machinery outside Levenmouth Academy in Buckhaven on Monday.

Having presumably been left over from maintenance works, it appeared to cure the boredom of those left twiddling their thumbs during their time off school for the summer holidays.

An image shows four of the youngsters standing in the school’s car park, looking up at a fifth seemingly operating the machine.

A yellow scissor lift sits in a car park next to a white and grey building. The movable platform is raised up high, with a boy wearing a white t-shirt and black trousers standing atop it. Four other kids can be seen standing on the ground underneath.
The machine appeared to be an alternative source of fun

The yellow scissor lift sits in the almost deserted school car park, with its movable platform raised up high.

Strangely, two parked cars are visible, one on either side of the machine.

A lad wearing a white t-shirt and black trousers can be seen leaning over the platform’s railings, seemingly speaking to one of his pals below.

Four other kids mill about in the car park, but it is unclear whether they’re also looking for a shot on the machine

The picture was shared to social media on Monday with the caption: “Bairns having a wee shot of the platform at Levenmouth Academy.”

It has since received over 110 likes and more than 20 comments from Scots left divided by their antics.

One said: “About time they started enjoying their summer holidays.”

A second commented: “It’ll not be that if one of the cherubs falls and breaks something. Then all hell will let loose.

“So hell mend them if they hurt themselves.”

Another added: “They’d better not come running to me after they fall off and break their legs, I’ll tell you that much.”

A fourth said: “Probably do more work than the lazy a**ed workers.”

Another wrote: “Could be worse, they could be looting Greggs.”
