“If she were a ship, it would have sunk” – Protestor ridiculed after comparing Britain to woefully inaccurate belief about the Titanic

A WOMAN has been ridiculed online after comparing the current immigration situation in Britain to her woefully inaccurate belief of why the Titanic sank.

As protests raged up and down the country, she was spotted at a more peaceful demonstration on Saturday.

Upon being approached by someone seemingly asking why she was protesting, the woman used a wildly incorrect analogy to make her point, insisting that the Titanic – which famously hit an iceberg in 1912 – sank because “too many people” were on board.

A blonde-haired woman waving a Union Jack flag, with another tied around her shoulders. A crowd of people is visible in the background, many of whom are also waving flags.
The woman seemed pleased with herself after saying her piece

The video shows the woman, who was joined by a pal at the demonstration, wearing a Union Jack tied around her shoulders and holding a smaller flag in her hand.

A whole crowd of flag-waving protestors is visible in the background.

She shouts into the camera: “Put it another way. When you got the Titanic and they filled it with too many people, what happened?”

The person filming can be heard replying: “It sunk.”

She interrupts angrily: “It sunk. And that’s what’s happening to England. We’re sinking, too many in.”

Seemingly chuffed and believing she’s hit the nail on the head with her inaccurate analogy, the woman steps back from the camera to let her words sink in.

The video was shared to social media on Saturday with the caption: “I don’t think that’s why the Titanic sunk love.”

It has since received over 38,000 likes and over 2,800 comments from amused Brits quick to poke fun at the woman.

One commented: “I mean ironically, she’s so f**king dense that if she were a ship, it would have sunk.”

A second said: “Ladies and gentlemen, the real problem is poor education, not boats. Please improve our education system, I beg.”

Another quipped: “That’s why Velcro was invented. She’s unlikely to master buttons or shoelaces.”

A fourth wrote: “It hit her head then sank.”

Another asked: “Does she even know why she’s protesting?”
