Young car dealership employee wipes out telegraph pole after rolling brand new BMW – whilst delivering it to the customer

A YOUNG car dealership employee wiped out a telegraph pole after rolling a new BMW – that he was delivering to a customer.

The unnamed lad was speeding along Green Lane in Goadby Marwood, Leicestershire on Tuesday when he sent the motor flying over the hump of a bridge.

Losing control, he rolled the car, damaging a telegraph pole in the process and leaving it wrecked in a nearby hedge.

A silver BMW stopped at an angle on a country road, its back end in a hedge. The car is covered in dents and scratches, and the visible back wheel is buckled and almost completely ripped off, the tyre visibly discarded next to it.
The BMW was in a sorry state following the accident

With his boss reportedly “not happy” upon arriving at the scene, the sheepish chap – if still employed – will likely have to make an awkward phone call to the bemused customer to explain why they never received their new motor.

Leicestershire Police were quick to attend the scene, sharing images of the silver BMW with its back end rammed into the undergrowth at the side of the country road.

It is covered in scratches and dents, with one back wheel buckled and almost completely gone, and the tyre discarded alongside it.

Both wing mirrors have been torn off, and a long branch is caught in the grill at the front.

A fire engine and officers are visible in the background.

The post was shared to social media on Tuesday with the caption: “It was a bridge too far for this inexperienced young driver when he discovered the laws of gravity the hard way.

“Driving far too quickly, and taking off over the humpback bridge, he wiped out a telegraph pole, causing issues for local residents before rolling the BMW several times.

“The driver works (worked?) for a car dealership and was delivering the car, having recently sold it to a customer. His boss was not happy when he arrived on scene.

“A few offences under investigation, the least of which was driving with no tax (no trade plates displayed) so reported to DVLA.

“Sensibly however, and thankfully, the driver was wearing his seatbelt. Had he not been, a far more serious outcome may have materialised.

“Fortunate also was that other road users were not involved.”

It has since received over 170 likes and more than130 comments from Brits who panned the lad’s shocking driving.

One wrote: “Putting everyone else in danger, just because the lad thought he was Lewis Hamilton. Give him a Robin Reliant for the next five years.”

A second said: “Plonker. Shouldn’t be driving a powerful car.”

A third joked: “I’d just say ‘Boss, you’ll never believe it, a dog ran out in the road and had to swerve it, sorry’.”

Another said: “Was the customer happy with their new car though?”

Another quipped: “Do not pass go, go straight to the job centre.”
