WATCH as two young men are filmed duelling each other with knives in broad daylight on the streets of lawless London.
The clash was watched by shocked bystanders on Powis Street in Woolwich, Greenwich on Friday when the two men came to blows.
The duel saw one man injured and rushed to hospital after the pair slashed wildly at each other with the blades in what some Brits are calling just “normal behaviour now” in the capital.
Video footage captured by an audibly aghast member of the public shows the two lads circling each other and taking swings with their knives.
The two men, one clad in a grey tracksuit and the other in a black outfit, swing their knives wildly at each other in what appears to be a frightening fight to the death.
A loud clanging sound can be heard as the man clad in makes a slash at his attacker, which the other man blocks, causing the knives to collide and ring out.
Shouts from watching pedestrians can be heard as the fight escalates and the man in grey runs off in an attempt to escape.
His attacker chases him down the street as the man recording the incident can be heard saying: “Oh f**k, this is mad.”
Someone else in the background of the video can be heard saying: “They’re stabbing each other.”
Pedestrians can be heard screaming in shock at the violent incident and urging the two men to stop fighting.
Large lettering is written across the video footage, reading: “London is getting out of hand. Full on knife fight on a high street.”
Video footage of the fight was posted to social media yesterday with the caption: “Knife fight on the streets of Woolwich a couple of days ago.”
The video has since received over 1,100 likes and more than 124 comments from stunned social media users.
One user said: “Every. Single. Day. Enough is enough.”
Another wrote: “Can’t believe no members of the public got involved to de-escalate the situation.”
A third said: “It’s time every Police officer was armed with either a handgun or a taser especially in London.”
Another replied: “Just two modern day Carolean dandies fighting a duel to settle a point of honour.”
A fifth commented: “It’s normal behaviour now, joke of a country.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said on Friday: “Police were called to Powis Street, SE18, at 18:37hrs on Friday, 26 July to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
“A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds. He has been taken to hospital, his condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests. Enquiries are ongoing.”
