Scots left in stitches after discovering unfortunately named Malaysian peanut butter brand, Jobbie

SCOTS have been left in stitches after discovering an unfortunately named Malaysian peanut butter brand.

Jobbie Nut Butter, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, offers shoppers nut butter made with 100% natural ingredients.

Its name is formed by combining the first names of its founders – Joseph and Debbie – although it was initially called Walao-Eh!!! Peanut Butter.

However, the brand unwittingly shares its unfortunate name with the Scottish slang term for faeces

A screenshot of an online product listing on the website for Jobbie Nut Butter. The product is called "Jobbie's Popping Candy Peanut Spread." The product image shows a clear glass jar filled with peanut butter, with a black lid. The label features a bright purple zigzag pattern, and features the brand name at the top, then "Popping Peanut Spread" in a cartoon explosion effect speech bubble.
The brand was discovered by one Scot online

Products include classic pure peanut butter and the “Love Spreader” wooden knife – but it’s the company’s latest offering that had Scots online howling.

The limited edition “Jobbie’s popping candy peanut spread” offers consumers a unique experience.

The product description reads: “Ever tried mixing fun popping candy with peanut butter?

“We do it specially to surprise you with special yummy popping effect while enjoying your daily healthy peanut butter.”

Despite the unfortunate coincidence, a closer look at the company’s website reveals they are perfectly aware of the toilet humour connection to Scotland.

Upon listing Scotland as one of the website’s shipping locations, the accompanying caption reads: “Yup, it’s really fun sending a jar of Jobbie to your friends as a gift.”

A screenshot of the amusing product was shared to social media yesterday simply captioned: “Jobbie.”

It has since received over 90 likes and more than 20 comments from tickled Scots.

One wrote: “I spat out my coffee because I started laughing when I saw this.”

A second said: “Lovely, a jar of s***e. After a curry, I think I’ve had a popping jobbie before, but that’s another story.”

Another commented: “Nothing like a popping jobbie on your toast.”

A fourth wrote: “I had some bad chicken satay from the Chinese which led to jobbie popping peanut spread once.”

Another replied: “Next time get it in a jar and sell it.”
