A HERD of Scottish cows seemed desperate to visit their namesake as they were spotted running riot in Cowdenbeath.
The farm animals were seen wandering through the Fife town’s retail park yesterday, seemingly eager to have a nose around.
Quite how the cattle escaped and how or when they were finally rounded up is unclear, but the incident left locals tickled all the same.
A video taken by a passerby catches two of the cows, one black and white, one brown and white, casually ambling through the car park in front of Lidl and mooing.
A man’s voice can be heard saying : “Good God.”
It then cuts to a third cow running towards the front door of the neighbouring B&M store, getting almost right to the entrance.
The man can be heard imitating what the cow would say if it could speak, saying: “Wait for me.”
Another man can be heard saying: “That’s a bull.”
Upon realising where the cow is headed, he says, clearly stunned: “Is it going into B&M?”
The clip was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “My friend sent me this two minutes ago, what is going on?”
It has since received over 5,100 likes and over 110 comments from amused Scots.
One commented: “Stop, isn’t this Cowdenbeath.”
A second wrote: “Going in for a bag of shopping.”
Another said: “They’re saving their brothers.”
Another commented: “Swear they better get a moooove on.”
A fifth said: “I didn’t expect this when I opened TikTok, you can only imagine the udder shock I was going through.”
