Scottish legal firm appoints familiar face as new associate

A SCOTTISH independent legal firm has appointed a familiar face as a new associate to their corporate team in their Glasgow city centre offices.

Lindsays has appointed Qasim Ali, a corporate lawyer who previously worked for them, as Associate after his short time away from the firm.

When he was at the firm from April 2021 to August 2023, he worked for them as a solicitor.

Throughout his work, he has gained experience in multiple areas of corporate law and worked with clients like international enterprises.

Qasim Ali previously worked at Lindsays for two years.

Lindsays corporate team continues to broaden its work through advising businesses in a broad range of sectors on multiple issues like investments and mergers.

Qasim stated: “I am delighted to be back at Lindsays, taking the next step in my career.

“I have been around businesses my entire life and have a real passion for helping them to succeed.

“My family runs its own business in the convenience sector and this naturally led me to corporate law.

“I particularly enjoy working for owner-managers and learning about their businesses.”

Ian Mitchell, a Glasgow-based Partner in Lindsays’ corporate team said: “It is fantastic to have Qasim back on-board as we continue to strengthen our team.

“It is testament to the ethos and opportunities that Lindsays offers that he has returned.

“This is a really busy time for us as we support corporate and commercial clients to seize new opportunities and evolve to the ever-changing commercial landscape, working with people and businesses in Glasgow and across Scotland.

“That’s reflected in our ability to further invest in our team advising them.”
