Lawless London’s professional pickpockets caught on camera employing brazen tactics to rob tourist

ONE of lawless London’s professional pickpockets has been caught on camera, depicting the brazen tactics she employs to rob a tourist.

The woman was filmed by an onlooker across the road on Bloomsbury Street in Camden, Greater London yesterday, following closely behind a hapless party of tourists.

The pickpocket managed to remain entirely undetected as she deftly pinched items from the backpack of one of the group in broad daylight.

The video shows the group of tourists waiting to cross the street when a woman wearing a cap, white shirt and denim skirt approaches them from behind.

The pickpocket was caught red handed.

She appears to be accompanied by another woman and a man, who flank her in a half-hearted attempt to disguise her actions to other pedestrians.

As the tourists begin crossing the road the woman unzips one of their backpacks and begins following them, staying a step behind the tourist.

Unaware that he is being robbed, the man continues across the street, ignorant of the sneaky thief following him.

As the two stride across the street in step with one another the woman lifts various items from the man’s bag.

The woman is clearly a seasoned professional with her deft hand ensuring she remains unnoticed by the tourist.

As they reach the other side of the road the man recording the incident finally steps in and shouts across to the tourist: “You see them?”

He continues, shouting, “Pickpockets, pickpockets” in an attempt to make the tourist aware of the thief.

Having clearly heard the man’s warning from across the road, the pickpocket swiftly withdraws her hand from the bag, ending her robbery.

However, the tourist appears not to have taken any notice of the woman or the warning and ambles on, unaware he’s just had his bag rifled through.

The video footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Pickpockets in London.”

The post has received over 640 likes and more than 50 comments from social media users left appalled at the blatant robbery.

One user said: “I hate how everyone in London just ignores stuff like that. I’d make a scene if I saw that happen in broad daylight with people around.”

Another added: “This is what London has become.”

A third wrote: “Sadiq Khan’s London. Absolutely ruined with crime and overcrowding.”

Another commented: “Why didn’t the person filming intervene?”

A fifth replied: “That’s why I always padlock my backpack.  Or have it in front of me.  Can’t trust anyone.”
