AN EDINBURGH-based renewable energy company has committed to a long-term lease in one of the city’s most environmentally friendly office spaces.
Red Rock Power is the latest organisation to announce a move into 30 Semple Street, a development which is set to be the greenest in the city once it is completed later this year.
Constructed by Corran Properties Limited on behalf of CBRE Investment Management, the building is the first to achieve environmental accreditations like the “outstanding” status from BREEAM, as well as receiving a platinum AirScore.
Red Rock Power will move into the fourth-floor 8,135 sq. ft space next spring, giving staff views of Edinburgh Castle and the capital’s skyline.
Frazer Wardhaugh, chief legal officer at Red Rock Power, said: “30 Semple Street is the perfect home for us as we continue to grow our operations in the UK and Europe.
“Its best-in-class green credentials, attention to detail and high quality, modern finishes are parallel with our own vision and the move will mark a key step in our own evolution as a business.”
Zoe Gray, director at CBRE Investment Management, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Red Rock Power.
“It is especially pleasing to welcome a leading renewable energy company which recognises and endorses the environmental standards we have set for ourselves at 30 Semple Street.”
The landlord’s team was represented by Knight Frank, Cuthbert White and Brodies, while Red Rock Power was represented by JLL and Addleshaw Goddard.
