WOMEN are at the forefront as a Scottish law firm has announced two new ambassadors to Mackrell International Legal Network.
BTO Solicitors’ Caroline Carr and Laura Salmond will replace corporate partner Jeremy Glen who has been the firm’s main point of contact with Mackrell since it joined the network in 2005.
Glen and his corporate team will continue to advise BTO business clients on UK corporate law.
Mackrell International is a global legal network comprising 90 independent, full-service law firms in 100 cities across over 60 countries.
Caroline Carr, Chair of BTO, said: “I would like to extend my thanks to Jeremy for his nearly two decades of dedication to strengthening BTO’s relationship with Mackrell International and its members.
“His efforts have significantly improved the extent of our global connections.
“BTO’s membership of Mackrell International affords us the opportunity to provide our clients with access to excellent legal representation worldwide.
“The strong, long-standing personal relationships that we have built within the network ensure our clients receive prompt, reliable, senior-level representation from firms across the globe.
“Laura and I look forward to leading this valuable alliance, generating further referrals and opportunities for BTO, while continuing to serve clients and the network in Scotland and in certain key areas of UK law.”
Laura Salmond, employment law partner, said: “I am excited about the opportunity to engage with a dynamic and supportive international community through this role.
“The shared insights, experiences and opportunities within Mackrell International are invaluable, and we are united by our similar values and commitment to providing the highest quality service to our clients.
“For BTO’s clients, this partnership is akin to accessing a first-class, agile and responsive global firm which also delivers genuine local expertise and cost-effective solutions.”
