House just a stone’s throw from Anfield could be dream home for Liverpool fans – and it comes complete with huge mural of Steven Gerrard

A HOUSE that’s sure to delight Liverpool fans is up for grabs – and comes complete with a huge mural of Steven Gerrard on an outside wall.

The artwork adorns the side of the four-bedroom house in Walton Breck Road, which is just a five-minute walk from Liverpool’s storied Anfield stadium.

Recently reduced in price to a manageable £125,000 by Pattinson Estate Agents, the red brick end-terrace building looks just like any other home from the front.

A picture showing the front and side of the house. The entire exterior side wall is painted red and black, with a likeness of Steven Gerrard running from the pavement to the roof,, a white number eight, and a quote in white lettering reading: "It always means more when you win for your people".

Aside from very appropriate wallpaper patterned with the Liverpool crest in one room, it is just as ordinary inside.

However, the entire exterior side wall is painted in a bold red and black background, with a huge white number eight and a likeness of the Liverpool star’s head and shoulders stretching from the pavement to the roof.

It also bears, in large white letters, a 2015 quote from Gerrard, reading: “It always means more when you win for your people.”

Despite its prominence in images of the property, the estate agents have chosen to leave it out of their colourful description, instead capitalising on its proximity to the stadium.

It reads: “Here’s a golden opportunity awaiting your savvy touch.

“Nestled near the iconic Liverpool FC football stadium, this four-bedroom home beckons with promise.

“With no chain and vacant possession, the canvas is yours to refurbish and transform into a lucrative rental property.

“Imagine the allure of this location for football enthusiasts and tourists alike, seeking accommodation close to the heart of the action.

“Whether it’s match days or simply the vibrant energy of the area, this property holds immense potential for rental income.”

The property was shared to social media on Saturday with the caption: “Who wouldn’t want to live in a house with Steven Gerrard on?”

It has since received over 250 likes and more than 120 comments from users both impressed and skeptical about the artwork.

One said: “It probably increases the value of the house quite substantially.”

Another commented: “Honestly, we could do with something like that.

“Every single food delivery ends up cold because they drive straight past our house and have to call us because they’re lost.”

A third pointed out: “Needs a lot doing but it’s got a lot of potential, you can paint over Stevie G if he’s not your thing, but it’s in Anfield so might be [more] popular than you would think.

“If you could get a dropped kerb for the front, you could rent out the driveway on match days for a bit of extra cash.”

Another disagreed: “Ignore how rough the area is, would you want to live close to your team’s stadium?

“Parking and travel must be horrific on match days.”

A fifth said: “As for bricking up a window to paint a mural – that room could have been quite a nice spot for an office for the working from home crowd.

“Now it’s just a dungeon.”

Another wrote: “It appears a shady landlord turned their s****y rundown rental into a billboard for extra cash.”
