TRANSFER NEWS: PSG IN SEARCH OF KYLIAN MBAPPE’S REPLACEMENT, XAVI SIMONS SALE PRICE REVEALED.

Paris-Saint Germain is on the hunt for a new winger to replace all-time goal-scorer Kylian Mbappe this summer after his contract expires at the end of the month. The French Club has reportedly made a bid for Lyon star Rayan Cherki.

Following Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid, PSG is looking for someone to fill the void left by the 25-year-old. According to L’Equipe, they have offered £15.2 million (€18 million) for the 20-year-old France International. Cherki, playing as an attacking midfielder, scored three goals and provided nine assists this season. He needs to increase his output to match Mbappe’s numbers if he eventually switches to the Paris outfit.

Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains a top summer target for PSG. It’s been made public that the player wants to leave and play in the UEFA Champions League, but the Serie A club has stated they have no intention of letting the Georgia international leave. Liverpool has also joined the race to sign the talented winger. PSG is yet to reach an agreement with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen with Arsenal and Chelsea now top contenders for his signature.

19-year-old João Neves is considered one of the most talented teenagers in world football and has emerged as a potential option to replace Mbappe at PSG. Benfica seems prepared to let him go, but they demand a transfer fee exceeding €100 million. PSG could potentially offer player swaps to reduce his transfer fee.

In the defense, Luis Enrique aims to land young Real Madrid target and Lille defender Leny Yoro. Lille is willing to let Yoro leave this summer, considering the value and interest in him. Liverpool and Manchester United are also admirers of the French wonderkid.

PSG TAGS PRICE TO ARSENAL AND MAN U TARGET – XAVI SIMMONS

Paris Saint-Germain is demanding £85 million for Xavi Simons who remains a long-term target for English clubs.

PSG would like to hold on to the youngster and would prefer a loan move, but any club interested in signing him will need to pay a significant fee for his services. The playmaker is currently on international duty with the Netherlands at Euro 2024, and the interest in his rare talent is high. In the past two seasons, the 21-year-old  has had impressive spells at PSV and RB Leipzig but PSG is yet to guarantee him a spot in their project for the next season.

Simons, who has made only 11 appearances for PSG since joining from Barcelona in 2019, spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig. During his time in Germany, he scored eight goals and provided 11 assists.

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich have all shown strong interest in Simons. The Red Devils are seeking a new midfielder, with Simons possessing the qualities needed for an attacking No. 8. Arsenal, on the other hand, aims to continue building a star-studded team to win the Premier League.

Kylian Mbappe demands €100 million from PSG

French outlet L’Equipe reported PSG is yet to pay Kylian Mbappe his wages for April and May, and they do not plan to pay the French star for June either. His current contract with PSG expires on June 30, and the issue must be resolved before then. The total amount the club owes him is approximately €100 million (£84 million).

Kylian Mbappe informed club President Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract with the French Champions expires at the end of the 2023/24 season. His refusal to sign a new contract with the French Champions soured his relationship with the club. Mbappe was frozen out of the first team, before returning later on, thanks to the efforts of the Sporting Director and head coach Luis Enrique.

Kylian Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid this summer on a 5-year-deal, two years after knocking back their interest to extend his stay in Paris. The 25-year-old has been crucial to PSG’s dominance in France since he arrived in 2017, after brilliant seasons with club rivals Monaco. He won six League 1 trophies, three French Cups, two league cups, and a record five Player of the Year awards in his seven years with the club. The French superstar scored 44 goals and created 10 assists in 48 games for the French Champions last season.

The new Galactico has insisted on receiving his bonuses despite his move to Real Madrid. When contacted by L’Equipe about the matter, the Ligue 1 champions stated that “negotiations are in progress” between the two parties to resolve the issue.

Real Madrid plans to unveil Kylian Mbappe to their loyal fans on July 16, although he is expected to miss the club’s tour of the United States. Mbappe is currently on international duty with France at Euro 2024. He assisted their only goal in the first game against Austria but did not play in the 0-0 draw with the Netherlands due to a broken nose. He is expected to wear a mask while he plays through recovery.

Ethan Mbappe To Leave PSG with Brother, Mbappe.

Ethan Mbappe, the younger brother of Kylian Mbappe is set to leave the French outfit with his brother when their contracts expire on the 30th of June. The Frenchman, like his brother, didn’t sign a new agreement with the French club and is set to become a free agent by the start of next month.

15 years-old Ethan, made his debut for Les Parisiens in December 2022 during a friendly win over Paris FC. He got his official senior debut 12 months later in PSG’s 3-1 victory against Metz when he was just 16. He has made three league appearances for the Ligue 1 champions and played twice in their successful Coupe de France campaign.

In a heartfelt message to the PSG fans on his Instagram, he wrote:

With the soul of a child and a supporter from birth, I discovered you with eyes full of dreams. That was nearly seven years ago, and I had no idea that we would be living such an adventure together. It was the start of seven years of red and blue in my daily life and in my heart. Seven years of encounters have left an indelible mark on me. Seven years of priceless human and sporting memories.”

“From the carefree days of childhood to my first steps as a professional, you laid the best foundations for the man and player I aspire to become.  “For everything you’ve given me, for all the wonderful people you’ve put in my path, and for the way you’ve helped me grow, on behalf of my sincere love for you, I say thank you and goodbye PSG.”

Championship sides Queens Park Rangers (QPR), Borussia Dortmund, and Ajax are notably top contenders bidding for the signature of the Frenchman.

LES BLEUES WOMEN HIT WITH ANOTHER TRANSFER BLOW

PSG’s Sandy Baltimore is reportedly on her way to join English champions Chelsea when her contract expires this summer. This news arrives shortly after UNFP’s Player of the Year – Tabitha Chawinga has reached an agreement to join their French rivals Olympique Lyonnais.  Chawinga scored 20 goals for PSG last season and was also voted D1 Arkema Player of the Season.

Sandy Baltimore turned down a contract extension to remain in the French club next season. The 24-year-old, who has featured for Paris-Saint German since her arrival in the summer of the 2016/17 season has scored 33 goals and created 30 assists in her eight years with the club. Baltimore’s frustration with the prolonged contract negotiations between her team and the club since last winter influenced her decision.

Sonia Bompastor who will take over from Emma Hayes (currently USWNT Head coach) at Chelsea has been an admirer of Baltimore’s talent and persuaded her to join the West London club this summer. The French forward has already traveled to the UK this week to undergo her medical, ahead of the move to Chelsea.
