Aberdeenshire law firm appoints new partners amid expansion plans

AN ABERDEENSHIRE law firm has appointed two new partners ahead of plans for expansion across the northeast of Scotland.

Andrew Bruce and Adrian Hutcheon have joined Alex Hutcheon + Co, a mortgage and property practice based in the city’s Union Street.

The new appointments come as the business is set to expand its services and presence across the Buchan area following its 25th anniversary.

Mr. Bruce, an experienced property, commercial and liquor licensing solicitor, will divide his time between Peterhead and Aberdeen as he focuses on securing new business for the company.

Freshly qualified Mr. Hutcheon secured his full-time position after filling various internal roles since leaving secondary school, eventually completing his two-year traineeship within the firm.

He specialised in private client work, with further experience in estate agency and property transactions.

Both new partners will be heavily involved in plans for expansion across Peterhead, Ellon and Fraserburgh alongside bolstering existing client portfolios.

Alex Hutcheon, owner and senior partner of Alex Hutcheon + Co Solicitors, said: “These appointments demonstrate our commitment to achieving further growth by strengthening our firm in key divisions and growing our geographical presence.

“Building on our foundation of 25 years’ experience, we remain firmly focused on the future servicing our existing client base while securing new clients in additional legal areas where we are not as prominent.”
