VIDEO footage allegedly shows Palestine protestors cutting the Wi-Fi cables and daubing red paint on a Scottish factory.

Activists under the group Palestine Action Scotland targeted the Leonardo UK factory on Crewe Road North in Edinburgh

The group’s actions come amid their claims that Leonardo – the largest arms manufacturer in Italy – is supplying targeting systems for Israel in the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict.

The activists struck under the cover of darkness, supposedly cutting the Wi-Fi cables for the factory, spraying expanding foam into the electrics and then daubing the model jets at the entrance to the factory with red paint.

The protestors disrupted the factories wifi.

Video recorded by the protestors shows them dressed in all black, wearing gloves and masks as they take a pair of gardening shears to what they claim are the building’s Wi-Fi cables.

Once the cables have been severed the video cuts to the activists spraying a whole can of expanding foam into the space where the cables were stored.

Footage then cuts to the activists using a stencil to spray paint the words “Stop Arming Israel” in large red lettering on the box housing the cables.

The video, posted to social media on Tuesday, was captioned: “Palestine Action cut Leonardo’s Edinburgh factory’s internet cables, disrupting the producers of targeting systems for Israel’s F-35 fighter jets.”

The post has since received over 56,000 likes and more than 1,200 comments from social media users who actively encouraged the protestors.

One user said: “This is seriously a moral issue. Any company that sends weapons or supports the illegal occupation of Palestine should face the consequences.”

Another added: “Whatever you think of this action the UK needs to stop facilitating, perpetuating and legitimising the genocide.”

A third replied: “That’s a way to stop wars! Well done. Make sure nobody gets hurt in the process.”

Another wrote: “A few bags of quick dry cement mix and some buckets of water and the only way they’re getting at their cables is with a jackhammer. Just a thought for next time.”

Speaking on Tuesday a spokesperson for Palestine Action Scotland said: “Activists from Palestine Action Scotland sabotaged the internet cables of Edinburgh’s Leonardo factory and sprayed red paint over their fighter jet model displays.

“A group opened the box of cables, cut the internet wires, sprayed expanding foam inside the box and spray painted ‘Stop Arming Israel’ on the lid.

“At the front of the factory, others sprayed the fighter jet display with paint to symbolise the company’s role in spilling Palestinian blood.”
