THIS is the shocking moment a phone thief clad in all black and riding a Surron electric motorbike snatches a woman’s phone from her hand in broad daylight.
The shocking example in a long line of never-ending crimes in lawless London was captured on video by the passenger of a passing car who saw the theft coming as soon as he spotted the masked bike rider.
The incident took place on Euston Road, Central London in broad daylight on Monday, with the woman giving chase in vain as the thief took off with her mobile.
Video captured by the occupants of the passing car shows the thief, dressed in all black and wearing a mask to cover his face, mounting the kerb on his electric motorcycle.
He makes a beeline along the pavement – straight towards a woman walking with her phone in her hand.
Unaware of the fast-approaching thief the woman continues walking, focused on her phone as the thief speeds up behind her.
He swerves past her at the last moment and as he does, grabs the phone from her hand before speeding off.
The occupants of the car can be heard saying, “Bow, see you later, see later. Oh my days.”, as they watch the crime unfold.
The poor woman rushes after the thief, running as fast as she can to recover her phone but she’s no match for the electric bike and the thief quickly gets away from her.
He speeds off around a corner and down the street having successfully gotten away with his loot, leaving the woman to despair as the video comes to an end.
The footage was posted to social media yesterday with the caption: “A thief steals a phone from someone walking on Euston Road in London.”
The footage has since received dozens of likes and comments from social media users outraged at the ease with which the thief operated.
One user sarcastically said: “You’ll own nothing and be happy.”
Another joked: “To be honest she’s quite fast, Olympics hit her up.”
A third said: “Part and parcel.”
Another added: “London is a s**t hole.”
