Brave Brit fends off lowlife thieves trying to pinch his motorbike – with just a plank of wood

WATCH the moment a brave Brit fends off lowlife thieves after they tried to steal his motorbike.

The bloke charged down the thieves as they tried to nick his bike from right under his nose on the campus of Southampton University in Southampton, Hampshire on Friday.

The man relied only on what appeared to be a plank of wood as an improvised weapon, deservedly beating the criminals and successfully scaring them off.

Video shows the man, plank in hand, charging towards the two masked men, who are both dressed in black from head to toe – and one of whom sits on an electric bike of his own.

The man used an improvised weapon to fight the armed thief.

Though outnumbered, the bold man doesn’t hesitate as he draws near the group and takes a swing at one of them with his weapon shouting, “F**k off” as he does so.

The blow connects with one of the thieves’ arms and head giving off a loud crack which causes the other to back off on his bike

The bloke doesn’t relent though, and chases after the man that he just struck, launching a few more swings and forcing the would-be thief to keep his distance.

The thief then pulls out his own weapon, but it seems to be no match for the power and length of the dreaded plank that their victim wields.

His accomplice then draws up alongside him on his electric bike, providing an escape route for the cornered thief.

Jumping on the bike to avoid a further beating, the thief and his accomplice escape from the brave bike owner, who still doesn’t back down, even as the pair drive away.

The footage of the heroic man’s actions was shared to social media on Friday with the caption: “Bike thieves, not successful at uni.

“Today at the university, this guy successfully managed to fend off the bike thieves.”

The video received over 970 likes and more than 155 comments from users on social media impressed with the man’s heroic actions.

One user said: “Legend, I would like to buy this man a pint.”

Another added: “Awesome job. That first swing had a very satisfying ‘donk’ sound to it.”

A third wrote: “I’ve seen that scummy little electric bike before, at least we know what they’re up to. Gotta love a man with a big bit of wood.”

Another replied: “Peace means having a bigger stick than the other guy.”
