TWO Scots youths left a cyclist unconscious on the ground after he accidentally collided with them.
One of the two youths, cycling on Dunbarton Road in Clydebank, Glasgow, confronted the 54-year-old bloke after he cycled into their path on Wednesday evening.
An argument then breaks out as the older man and one of the youths hurl abuse at each other before it turns physical and the man is knocked out.
Video footage recorded by the youth shows him coming face to face with the older man on the pavement with both having to slam their brakes to avoid hitting one another.
An argument immediately breaks out with the older man saying: “Mate you’re a wee tool.”
The younger cyclist responds: “You’re a f***ing tool, you’re cycling right towards me mate. I’ll f***ing punch your head in you baldy b*****d.”
The older man then grabs hold of the aggressive youth who pushes him back as chaos unfolds.
The youth appears to initially try and cycle away, but the older man launches himself forwards and grabs the youth.
The two of them wrestle for a moment before the youth throws a punch at the older man’s face and dismounts his bike.
The older man backs away from the now advancing youth, appearing rattled by the first blow, and the youth strikes again, punching the man square in the face.
The blow knocks the older cyclist out cold, and he slumps to the floor as the youth turns calmly and walks back to his bike.
The youths pal then cycles past and taunts the unconscious man, saying: “Aye there you go you f***ing bam, how’s that feel?”
The second youth then cycles off following his friend, exclaiming as he passes the unconscious man: “F***ing put on your a*** you b*****d.”
The footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Play silly games, win silly prizes.”
It has since received over 5,700 likes and more than 200 comments from stunned social media users who watched the violent altercation unfold in horror.
One user said: “Old boy’s head took a knock on the bounce down. Hate to see it, even though he deserved the jab.”
Another added: “Neither of them should be on the footpath, especially the boys on the actual motorbike.
“But surely the old boy has right of way by being on the left? Why do they see it as him cycling into them and not the other way around?”
A third replied: “These kinds of little gimps pulling wheelies on the surrons in the middle of roads etc need leathered from time to time, unlucky to the baldy.”
Another commented: “Lads think they’re cool because they’re unemployed in their late 20s and started vaping when they were 9.
“These tracksuit balaclava gimps are the biggest losers in Scotland.”
