Over £2k raised at Aberdeen Kiltwalk for Maggie’s Aberdeen by recruitment expert team

MORE than £2,000 was raised for Maggie’s Aberdeen by a team from TMM Recruitment, a north-east recruitment expert, through the Aberdeen Kiltwalk.

This walk brought together walkers across north-east Scotland and helped support 474 charitable causes such as Maggie’s Aberdeen.

One person who attended was Lauren Hutton, a recruitment consultant at TMM, who stated: “The highlight of my Kiltwalk experience was witnessing the incredible support from so many people.

“Spectators lined the route, cheering on the walkers, while people came out of their homes to hand out ice creams.

TMM Recruitment hopes to raise £10,000 for Maggie’s Aberdeen this year.

“We even saw a little girl offer blister plasters, among many other thoughtful gestures on the day.

“This event was a heartwarming reminder of the kindness and generosity that exist in our communities.”

TMM’s participation is part of their fundraising activities done throughout the year with a goal of raising £10,000 for Maggie’s Aberdeen.

Maggie’s Aberdeen offers practical, social and emotional support for free to cancer patients and their families and friends.

Lauren added: “Every step during the Kiltwalk brought us closer to our goal of raising £10,000 for Maggie’s Aberdeen, but we’ve a way to go to reach our target and we invite everyone to support us in this meaningful cause.

“In addition to the Kiltwalk, our fundraising efforts for Maggie’s Aberdeen have included an internal step challenge and our chief executive participated in the wildly successful Jail or Bail initiative.

“There are still tickets available for our upcoming Quiz Night at the Ashvale restaurant on 20th June, and later in the year we are participating in the Beast Race on 21st September, with our fundraising efforts culminating in a fashion show in October.”

Cara Gardiner, Lauren’s colleague, added: “It was a lovely feeling, knowing that all our hard work, fundraising, and laughs along the way will help people who really need it. It made the experience even more worthwhile!”
