Brit motorist facing prosecution after police pull over “Mad Max” car kitted out with wheel spikes and a “knife-like spoiler”

A BRIT motorist is facing prosecution after police pulled them for a series of “Mad Max” modifications to their motor.

The car was stopped on the M5 motorway on Saturday when Gloucestershire Police Specialist Ops noticed several dangerous modifications and saw the exhaust shooting flames.

Upon closer inspection, the officers found the car kitted out spike-shaped wheel nuts protruding from all four wheels and a large, razor-sharp spoiler on the back.

Police acted quickly, prohibiting the motor and leaving its owner car-less, with the driver now being prosecuted as a result of their daft modifications

One image shows the “Mad Max” motor parked at the side of the road after being pulled over, with the spiked wheel nuts on full display.

A second snap shows the red car’s offending spoiler – which looks razor sharp to the touch.

Gloucestershire Police shared the snaps of the car to social media yesterday with the caption: “A Mad Max wannabe has been left walking down fury road after their car was prohibited for an array of faults.

“This included wheel nuts being replaced for spiked ones and a sharp, knife-like spoiler plus other offences.

“The driver is now being prosecuted as a result.”

The post has since received over 415 likes and more than 60 comments from Brits who applauded the police for their work.

One user said: “What the… let me guess. Manufacture packaging says, ‘for off road use only’ so they can get away with selling them.”

Another added: “Oh my goodness-don’t want to visualise what they could do.”

A third replied: “Now there’s some interesting ‘modifications’ to declare to the insurance company.  (Assuming it was insured.)”

Another wrote: “These are lethal to pedestrians, driver who fit these should go to prison.”
