THIS is the bizarre moment a bloke is spotted relaxing in a hammock in the middle of a busy London tube carriage.
The man was caught on camera yesterday after a fellow passenger filmed him kicking back in his suspended bed.
Unfazed by the eyes on him, the chap reclined in his red woven bed as the train hurtled between stations.
The video footage shows the man lying back in the hammock as most other passengers, unfazed, ignore the bizarre sight completely.
Some do appear intrigued by the man’s choice of seat on the train and lean forward for a better look.
The bloke seems completely unbothered by all the eyes on him though and continues to stay relaxed in his hammock as the train moves off.
He appears to have set the hammock up himself after bringing it on the train with him, stringing it between two poles in the carriage.
Swinging a little, the man, wearing a white top, settles down for his tube journey in a more comfortable position than other Londoners.
The video footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Sleeping on a hammock on the London Underground? Love it.”
The clip has received over 160 likes and comments from users on social media left bewildered by the man’s bizarre choice of DIY train seat.
Some believe him to be a copycat after a staged prank went viral earlier this month showing an American man arguing with a bus driver over whether he can lie in a hammock on the bus.
One user commented: “What an absolute king and a treasure.”
Another said: “Or another way to get a seat.”
Less impressed by the man’s creativity, a third added: “Attention seeking t**t.”
Another wrote: “Two Americans, definitely a stunt.”
