Four men arrested after shocking video shows men in Glasgow street with guns in broad daylight

THIS is the horrifying moment that a man is filmed allegedly threatening passers-by with a gun on a Scots street.  

Two men were filmed on a balcony outside a flat on Kinfauns Drive, Drumchapel, Glasgow near to Drumchapel shopping centre yesterday waving around a firearm. 

A local woman captured the shocking scenes as a group of armed police responded to frantic calls from the public.  

Four men were eventually apprehended before being cuffed and taken away in police cars for further questioning.

Video shows the man waving around his weapon before appearing to look down the barrel whilst chatting with a friend on his balcony.  

The man appears to take aim whilst shouting towards other people in a seperate block of flats.  

Police Scotland officers rushed to the area en masse before arresting the two men from the balcony along with two others.  

The unidentified man was later snapped being held in handcuffs surrounded by squads of officers armed with rifles and pistols.  

Images taken by the same local woman shows three-armed response vehicles and squads of officers at the front of the Drumchapel shopping centre.  

Police Scotland said that there was no danger to the wider public following the arrest of the men yesterday.  

The pictures and videos were shared online yesterday with the caption: “Never a quiet moment here.” 

The post received over 500 likes with dozens of comments from social media users who were left stunned at the actions of the man.  

One said: “My wee cousin used to work in that shop.” 

Another added: “Aye it’s mental, got a call from someone telling me about it.”  

A third replied: “Only in the no.1 scheme.”  

Another responded: “Hope you’re okay.”  

Speaking today a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.40pm on Sunday, 26 May 2024, officers received a report of men in possession of weapons within a property in the Kinfauns Drive area of Glasgow. 

“Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident and further enquiries are ongoing.”  

“There is no risk to the wider public.”
