Bizarre London crash sees totalled £90,000 BMW suspended in air after wheel flew off and propped car up from below

A BIZARRE crash saw a BMW suspended in the air after its wheel came flying off – and propped the whole car up from underneath.

The BMW was filmed in its precarious position on the pavement of the A10 in Lower Clapton, North East London

The approximately £90,000 vehicle appears to have swerved off the road and smashed into a bin and a bicycle before coming to a stop with its missing wheel stuck below it.

Video shows onlookers walking past and examining the green BMW M4, which appears to have been left abandoned by the unknown driver.

The crash somehow left the BMW balanced in the air on top of one of it's wheels.

The vehicle’s back end is hoisted into the air, with the back left wheel missing altogether.

As the cameraperson walks past the vehicle though, the missing wheel can be spotted upright beneath the car, where it appears to be propping up the entire back end of the motor

A bicycle can also be seen underneath the vehicle’s front end, mangled and completely wrecked by the impact.

The front of the car is likewise wrecked with the bonnet left open and extensive scratching and denting across the whole of the front of the expensive coupe.

Bizarrely the driver appears to be nowhere in sight with police and recovery vehicles also absent from the scene.

Video footage of the vehicle was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Look at the wheel.”

It has since received over 1,200 likes and more than 60 comments from social media users shocked by the bizarre crash.

One user said: “BMWs weed out the bad drivers like no other.”

Another added: “The cyclist won’t be happy when they get back to unlock the bike.”

A third joked: “Ah car recycling day. Just leave your car out and the recycling team will take it away along with plastic, glass and cardboard.”

Another wrote: “I would love to read the engineer’s report on that, how do you smash a brake disk like that and how did the car end up on the wheel?

“Curious minds really want to know.”
