HEERO Technologies has secured £230,000 in bridge financing from existing lead investor Tricapital Angels Ltd and Scottish Enterprise.
The funding for the high-growth clean tech software and data company, based in Dundee, comes ahead of a planned Series A funding round.
For the UK to meet its net zero targets, it is essential to improve the energy efficiency of 19 million homes.
The Heero Technologies app addresses challenges associated with energy retrofit projects, including disruption from invasive measures, energy efficiency financing and grant uncertainty, and the need for trusted installers.
The app also provides flexibility and choice over which technologies to implement.
Nicola Kennedy, CEO of Heero Technologies, said: “We are delighted to have finalised additional funding from Tricapital and Scottish Enterprise.
“The investment is further endorsement of the App and the value it brings in the energy efficiency space, simplifying the retrofit journey for homeowners and householders, while streamlining the user experience.”
Kennedy added: “The funds will allow us to continue developing opportunities across different sectors, including local authorities, utilities, financial institutions and retail, amongst others.”
Moray Martin, Tricapital Angel’s CEO, expressed his support, saying: “Heero has hit all of its proof points and we are delighted to be able to support them as they plot a pathway through this critical stage in their lifecycle.”
