THIS is the shocking moment one cheeky member of the public brazenly displayed a porn video on the new video “portal” linking Dublin and New York.
The unidentified prankster used their phone to display the lewd clip to the camera, stunning New Yorkers who were stood watching the screen in the Big Apple over 3,000 miles away.
Portals were first revealed in 2021 by the Benefiktas Gylys Foundation, a non-profit that works to unify nations and has already set up similar portals in Lithuania and Poland.
The New York portal is in front of the Flatiron Building on Fifth Avenue and Dublin’s portal is on O’Connell Street.
The video installation was opened on May 8, but pranksters quickly capitalised on the new opportunity to cause chaos.
Members of the public have been filmed and photographed using the portal to display several offensive messages.
One person heartlessly showed a snap of the 9/11 terrorist attacks taking place to the New York portal whilst another exposed his bare bum to onlookers over the video.
The latest in this string of inappropriate displays came over the weekend with one member of the public displaying the hardcore porn video.
The distasteful move has been slammed by social media users with some reasoning that kids were likely to be nearby.
The shocking image of the inappropriate video being shared was photographed and posted to social media yesterday.
With the latest in the string of inappropriate pranks seemingly being the last straw for the poster, it was captioned simply: “Ireland wrap it up.”
The image has since received over 107,000 likes and more than 800 comments from social media users left disgusted by the unidentified pranksters’ actions.
One user said: “Waving porn where kids are sure to be. Again, its pornbrains are the reason we can’t have nice things. Nothing funny about this at all.”
Another added: “You can tell they get zero attention the way they’re acting, should’ve been a portal to Tokyo.”
A third wrote: “Letting New Yorkers have more class than you is not an accomplishment.”
Another commented: “Ah. They turning it into Pornhub now (sic).”
