Parliament candidate leaves locals in stitches after drawing comparisons to Fonejacker favourite Terry Tibbs

A PARLIAMENT hopeful has left locals in stitches after they noticed his uncanny resemblance to Fonejacker favourite Terry Tibbs.

Nick Reilly received canvasing flyers through the door of his home in the constituency of Chingford and Woodford Green in North East London

However, Nick soon noticed that the Reform Party’s candidate – Paul Luggeri – bore a striking resemblance to a certain British TV staple.

With Luggeri’s profile shot seeing him sport a bald head and shaded sunglasses, Nick couldn’t see anyone other than TV prankster Kayvan Novak’s character Terry Tibbs staring back at him.

The reform party candidate bears a striking resemblance to a Fonejacker character.

A photo shows the flyer that Nick was issued, showing Luggeri dressed in a suit and green tie for his promo shots.

Already bearing a resemblance with his bald head and suit, Luggeri completed his look with shaded glasses – which only strengthened his resemblance to wheeler dealer Tibbs.

The flyer shows the snap of Luggeri with the words, “It’s time for something different.” printed below.

The Tibbs lookalike’s policies are also included on the flier alongside a large Reform UK logo.

The candidate was left open to mockery for his resemblance after Nick shared images of the campaign material to social media yesterday.

Social media users quickly joked at the Reform candidates’ expense and drew further comparisons between Luggeri and Tibbs.

Nick wrote: “Delighted to see that Reform are fielding Terry Tibbs in my local area.”

His post has since received over 2,400 likes and more than 80 comments with users left howling at the comparison.

Onoe user paraphrased Tibbs’ famous line, writing: “I’ll put my little finger under your chin, give it a wiggly-wigg and you go and vote for me.”

Another joked: “Can only hear ‘It’s time for summin’ different’ in his voice now.”

A third said: “If his running slogan isn’t ’Talk to me’ I will be livid at the missed opportunity.”

Another added: “Just remembering the time old Terry Tibbs was selling exercise gear on the shopping channel, brilliant.

“Surely you’re voting for this bloke just so people can sing Terry Tibbs when elected.”

Terry Tibbs was portrayed by actor and comedian Kayvan Novak, 45, in his two popular comedy series, Fonejacker and Facejacker.

Known for his strong cockney accent and catchphrases such as, “Talk to me”, Tibbs was portrayed as a second-hand car salesman who would ring unsuspecting victims up to ask nonsensical questions about items they had listed for sale.
