A SEWING blunder left a grandmother in stitches after she accidentally stitched together a soft toy the wrong way, resulting in it appearing to have a large phallic organ.
Caryn Dampier, 66, had been sewing a handmade cat cuddly toy for her grandchildren when she discovered she had made a huge mistake.
Spinning the teddy around, the gran realised that she had sewed the cat’s head on the wrong way around.
She was soon left in stitches as she tried to explain to tickled relatives that the cat’s long tail was now having to double as a hysterically large member.
The footage shows Caryn sitting on the sofa as she tries to explain to family members what has transpired.
Popular tune Oh No by Kreepa can be heard playing in the background as the camera focuses on Caryn’s living room.
The camera then zooms in on a red-faced Caryn as she holds the innocent bear tightly to her chest.
She holds up her hand as she says with a grin: “I’m sorry. I just made a mistake.”
She bursts into fits of laughter as she says through giggles: “I sewed the head on backwards.”
She lifts up the cream-coloured toy to show her family, choking with laughter as the camera zooms in on the plush, revealing the hilarious blunder.
The cuddly toy appears almost perfect, with large beady eyes and two pointed ears on top of its head.
However, it’s hard for viewers to look past the obvious gaffe on the stuffed animal, as a large cat tail can be seen hanging down from its torso.
Caryn falls into a further fit of giggles but manages to mutter through her laughter: “Oh my god. It’s huge.”
She lifts the toy up and begins laughing again as her eyes dart towards the now-phallic tail.
Caryn’s son Nicholas, 37, shared the hilarious footage on social media last month (27 APR), writing: “My momma made a huge sewing mistake.”
The post received over 3m likes and 23,600 comments as many were left in stitches at the grandmother’s innocent mistake.
One person wrote: “And Goldilocks said it was just right.”
Another said: “That’s a family heirloom right there.”
A third commented: “I can’t breathe. Your mama sure has some ‘standards’ for a bear.”
