MULTINATIONAL law firm, Pinsent Masons, has hired a forensic accounting specialist as partner to improve its services in investigations and fraud risk management.
Edinburgh-based David Lister was previously at a big four accounting firm where he was a partner for 10 years.
He joins the Pinsent Masons Forensics & Accounting Services (FAS) team as the firm continues to build its multidisciplinary approach to serving clients.
This also includes the promotion of forensic accountant Hinesh Shah to partner and the hire of regulatory investigations partner Melanie Ryan.
David has experience as a forensic accountant with a particular focus on investigations and fraud risk management in the energy sector.
Head of risk advisory services at Pinsent Masons, Jim Cormack, said: “David’s reputation and wealth of forensic accounting experience will play a critical role in driving our growth plans for the FAS team.
“His entrenched knowledge and experience of the energy sector aligns well with our client base and we’re confident that David will be an asset to the firm.”
