A BRIT camper has captured a creepy snap of an eerie unexplained creature seemingly lurking in the trees outside his tent in the early hours of the morning.
Mike Collins was out camping with family in Edenbridge, Kent when he was awoken by sounds outside their tent.
Peeking outside, one of Mike’s family members grabbed their phone and took a snap of the area that the noises were coming from.
However, upon looking back at the image, account manager Mike and his family have been left creeped out by what they seem to have caught on camera.
The image shows what appears to be a large creature sitting amid the branches above the family’s tent.
The body of the creature seems human-like, with a torso and legs perched on the tree’s bough below it.
A further image shows the photo enhanced, appearing even creepier as two arms can be seen extended to the branches, as though someone – or something – is using them to hold themselves steady.
A pair of large white eyes can also be seen glowing in the dark as the unknown creature lurks above, spookily watching the family sleep.
Mike wrote in the post on Thursday: “This picture was taken at approximately 3am during a camping trip to Edenbridge, Kent, UK.
“A family member took the picture after being awoken by noises outside the tent. The picture on the left is enhanced.”
The post received over 4,600 likes and more than 840 comments from social media users left horrified.
Some offered their own suggestions on what the creature could be, but many were left at a loss for what exactly was watching Mike and his family.
Laura Stripp wrote: “The body is a really weird proportion to be a human being. Like, look at its shoulders to its waist.”
Steve J Dyar said: “The original photo clearly depicts a male human in the tree, wearing glasses moving his head.
“The ‘enhanced’ photo is just adding white to it, creating light noise. It’s a lousy enhancement by trying to brighten the photo.”
Stephanie Devlin commented: “Looks like a drunk man in a tree. That tends to happen when you go camping. Just kidding. That is scary.”
Santa Montezuma added: “Well, the only bird species that sees in the night is the owl and that is no owl, and also, they make a hoop sound only at night, so that to me looks like an entity, and not a good one at that.
“The eyes are evil-looking, and that body is thin and long arms and fingers. Not too friendly, that’s for sure. Did you leave or did you stay?
“If I were you, I wouldn’t go back there again because you were lucky but if you go back, you are not going to be so lucky.
“So, leave well enough alone. My advice: take it or leave it and I am serious. That’s nothing to joke about.”
