The tournament organizers are expecting a massive influx of fans to flock in for their Copa America 2024 tickets this year, with the hype for the tournament at a record high. Ideally, every fan would love to have their tickets on the first attempt through the official sources.

However, due to the high number of fans and the limited tickets, the tickets will only be available to selected individuals. In such a scenario, fans also have the opportunity to look at trusted resellers who provide ample ticket options.

With almost all U.S. soccer fans heavily invested in making it to an Argentina game alongside the USMNT, getting tickets becomes even more difficult.

However, trusted resellers help fans ease through with several options to be listed soon.

Sergino Dest will miss the USMNT’s Copa America

The 23-year-old right-back suffered the set-back on Saturday in training with loan club PSV Eindhoven and now is in doubt for the all-important Copa America 2024.

Dest has 33 senior caps for the U.S. and two goals. He has been on loan at the Eredivisie club from Barcelona, where he is contracted until June 2025.

The USMNT begin their Copa America group stage on June 23 against Bolivia.

Dest has made 37 appearances for PSV, which leads the Dutch top flight by nine points and has two goals and seven assists.

The Dutch club would like to make his loan permanent, and other clubs have tracked his impressive form in Eredivisie, but the current prognosis is that the defender may only be fully fit next year.

On Sunday, a statement on the club’s website said: “Sergino Dest suffered a serious knee injury during Saturday’s training. How long the full-back will be sidelined is still being investigated.

How could the USMNT line up without Dest?

Dest has been a mainstay at right-back under Gregg Berhalter, one of a handful of players who are nearly certain to start when available.

In particular, his partnership with Tim Weah has made the right flank an area of strength for the USMNT, particularly when a midfielder like Weston McKennie drifts right to overload the wide space.

With Dest set to be unavailable for the Copa America’s June kickoff, Joe Scally would project as next-in-line to start on the right.

The former NYCFC academy product has nine senior caps and was part of Berhalter’s 23-man roster at the 2022 World Cup. However, he would change how the team has to play and create on the right, as he’s more of a traditional wide defender than Dest’s attacking-focused approach.

Others who could factor for consideration include Shaq Moore, DeAndre Yedlin, and Reggie Cannon. Given the number of quality midfielders available, we should also consider the possibility of Tyler Adams returning to his former position as a right-back.

Messi in Good Form for Copa America

Lionel Messi is healthy again. But how does he remain healthy to lead Argentina this summer’s Copa América 2024?

Well, there’s no special plan from Inter Miami.

Messi’s schedule is manageable. Inter Miami has eight or nine games remaining before Messi will likely join the Argentine national team for the tournament. And most of those games will be played weekly.

So, there is no need for anything special for Messi, 36, who will likely play in his final major tournament with Argentina this summer — unless he decides to appear at the Paris Olympics.

“Well, now there is nothing special with him. We are going to play matches from weekend to weekend,” Inter Miami coach Tata Martino said Friday before Saturday’s match against Nashville at 7:30 p.m. in Chase Stadium.

“But we don’t have to analyze any special plan because he feels good. He is working well on a day-to-day basis, and well, at the rate we are going, we will continue in the same way.”

Messi will play against Nashville in his fourth straight game since recovering from a right hamstring injury that kept him out from March 13-April 6.

Argentina is the defending Copa América and World Cup champions, behind Messi, who frequently said the 2022 World Cup in Qatar would be his last. With the Messi fanfare and Argentina’s playing style, expect a high demand for Argentinian Copa America 2024 tickets.

Messi is expected to join Argentina for two warmup matches before Copa América begins in mid-June.
