THIS is the moment a violent thug is served up a dose of instant karma after randomly attacking an OAP on the street for seemingly no reason.
The assault took place in Keighley, Yorkshire, on Tuesday and was captured by a nearby CCTV camera.
The bloke sucker punched the old man, sending him to the ground, but was soon the subject of a battering of his own when a pair of good Samaritans stepped in.
The video footage of the disturbing assault shows an elderly couple walking down the street, passing a younger man walking alone.
They seem to exchange a few words as the younger man walks between the couple before turning around abruptly.
The thug, seemingly angered, runs up behind the OAPs and launches his attack on the elderly man.
Surprising him, the thug sucker punches the old man in the head and begins to kick him in a sudden outburst of violence.
The elderly man’s partner can do nothing but watch on as he is battered to the ground by the violent thug in a horrific unprovoked attack.
Making an attempt to fight back the elderly man pulls the thug to the floor with him and grapples with his attacker.
The violent young thug continues to batter the old man, throwing punches and kicks at him while the man’s partner watches on in despair.
Suddenly a bystander comes onto the scene to save the day, pushing the thug off of the elderly man and punching him in the face.
The thug loses a shoe and attempts to kick the bystander who put an end to his attack but to no avail, being left cowering on the floor.
The good Samaritan is joined by a number of other bystanders now who come to the aid of the old man.
Picking up the thug’s shoe and throwing it onto the road for good measure the good Samaritan turns to offer his assistance to the elderly man.
Coming to his senses after receiving a beating the vile attacker gets back to his feet and retrieves his shoe from the road.
Shockingly, his violent rampage wasn’t ended by the hero’s beating, as he instead storms over to the crowd now gathered around the elderly couple and smacks one of the bystanders with his shoe.
This earns him a second beating as the man he hit removes his jacket, rolls up his sleeves and advances on the violent attacker menacingly.
He throws a single punch at the thug and knocks him unconscious, ending the man’s furious rampage.
The footage of the violent incident was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Karma. An elderly man attacked in Keighley/Yorkshire…”
It has since received over 13,000 likes and more than 1,300 comments from social media users celebrating the bystanders’ heroic actions in saving the elderly man from his attacker.
One user said: “Well done lads, even the old bloke gave it a good go and got him down.”
Another added: “Damn he’s got a mean left, bloody good shot.”
A third commented: “Hero, you see you give them a bang hard enough, they turn into victims.”
Another replied: “Both heroes but that last guy casually taking his jacket off and landing a jab is gold.”
