A SCOTS city that was ranked bottom for economic output and employment three years ago has received a new development of luxury homes.
Bancon Homes has launched the site of luxury homes in Aberdeen, which will be named Kinion Heights.
This coincides with a more than £1.1m contibution to the local economy, by the company, to help fund schools in the area, as well as recreation and healthcare facilities, and upgrades to the transport network.
Depsite being on the bottom of the list of cities for the best economic output and employment in 2021, the Granite City can be seen to be making strides to move away from their “mixed fortune” image through such developments.
Positive changes were made evident by PwC’s Good Growth of Cities Index, which placed Aberdeen as the sixth most improved city on the list in 2023, in terms of employment and ratio of house prices to earnings.
This new community is the next phase in Bancon Homes’ Kilion Place development, which sold out after strong demand.
Kinion Heights will be located on the hillside between Newshills and Craibstone, and will consist of 63 two, three and four-bedroom houses designed in one of 14 contemporary house styles.
Bancon Homes said they have created houses ideal for all types of buyers, and the area will have great transport links as it is situated 15 minutes from the city centre and five minutes away from the airport.
Each home is also expected to have an EPC Band B energy efficiency rating.
The first phase of three and four-bedroomed houses are already for sale, with prices starting at £259,995.
Bancon Homes sales director, Jo Skinner, said: “We are excited to bring this special new development of stunning homes to the market as part of an already thriving new community in Aberdeen.
“Interest has been high and we have received a significant level of enquiries, which we only expect to increase now we have officially launched.
“Our sales team is on site ready to welcome visitors and work is well underway on our new show home and sales centre which will be opening later this year.”
